The power behind TheDesertOnline.com is the search engine. Searching by Business name, Heading, Keyword or phone number will quickly bring you results with a range of options. Below is a guide on how to take advantage of the numerous features available in our directory.

The Directory View provides the traditional and familiar “look and feel” of the print yellow pages. Here you will see a complete list of businesses with pop-ups of maps for every business (if a physical address is provided), display advertisements, websites, email  links,  and coupons of businesses located in the Coachella Valley.

The Profile View is similar to the Directory View with the same links, but here you will find more in-depth information about the business. To see the business profile, click on the business name or click on the business logo and you will see a more complete description of the services offered, such as brands serviced and sold, testimonials, pictures and videos provided by the business owner.

 My neighbor told me that I can see videos that the business has provided. Where can I find those?

These can be found in the business Profile Page.

 Ok, I found the list of businesses in my desired heading, but I want to see all the listings starting with a particular letter.

The results of your search in Profile View are based on relevance to your keyword, whereas the results in Directory View is based on the exact keyword. The result will take you to a heading or business that closest match your search term. You will also see results found in the left hand column.

How do I search by city?

Enter your heading or keyword while in Profile View. Look to the left hand column and you will see the cities and the number of businesses matching your search criteria. Clicking on a city will bring up all the businesses in your search.

Click on the print button and this screen will appear and be ready for printing.

Where do I find coupons that a business is offering?

As you search In the Directory View and the List View, you will see a pop-up for all those that have coupon offers. Click on the pop-up and a larger screen will appear which is printable. You can also see all the coupons available by clicking on the “Coupon” tab on the right hand side of the Directory View.

Please use our Add/Change listing form and provide us with the correct information.

What if the map shows my location incorrectly?

The location is determined by the latitude and longitude of your address. The software automatically assigns a lat/long to every address. If  it is incorrect please use our Add/Change listing form to notify us and we can correct it.

What if I want to advertise?

Complete our Add/Change Listing form to provide us with your contact information and we will contact you.

What information is in the The Desert Online newsletter?

We email  two newsletters, one featuring news about local businesses, coupons, alerts ,  local news and much more!  The Business Newsletter will  provide timely information that may impact anyone who owns a small business. Sign me up!
